Dear council members

Please block 1st March 2014 in your calendar. There will be a council meeting at 3pm. Venue will be Ang Mo Kio Jack’s Place, Private Room. Please note the change in the date for AGM from the originally scheduled  23 December 2013. Your presence is much appreciated.

1. Financial and Other Reports

To receive and consider the Financial Report of the Association and the Reports of the Management Council and the Auditor in respect of the financial year ended 31 Dec 2013.

2. Election of the 49th Management Council
To elect a Management Council in accordance with the Association’s Constitution and appoint Sub-Committees following the formation of the 49th Management Council.

3. Handing over
To consider and, if thought fit, hand over the travel plans. Pursuant to Association’s tradition of organising overseas trips for members there are 2 proposals that will be handed over for the new committee : JB and Japan.

4. Adoption of President’s Report
To consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolution as an ordinary resolution:
That the President’s Report for the Association for the financial year ended 31 December 2013 be adopted.

Eligibility to Vote
For the purpose of voting at the meeting, all teachers and members of ACES who are registered as members as on 29 November 2013. The entitlement of shareholders to vote at the meeting will be determined by reference to that time.

Voting Exclusions
Associate members and non-MOE and non-NIE members

Up to 34 teams from 17 Secondary Schools in Singapore have gathered down at Ngee Ann Polytechnic today for the Tourism in Action Challenge! Students will be pitting their creativity and eco-tourism skills on responsible travel to Japan! The race is on!
